Step 1:
Accept the default options, and install. |

Step 2:
Uncheck "Run foobar2000" and click "Finish". |

Step 3:
Download the ÜberStandard foobar2000 Setup Package and unzip it into the root foobar2000 directory. (Usually C:\Program Files\foobar2000\) |

Step 4:
Run foobar2000, and cancel the "Quick Appearance Setup" window. |

Step 5:
Open the foobar2000 "Preferences" window. |
 |
Step 6:
Navigate to the "General" submenu and select "Application install folder". Click "Close", and then close the foobar2000 application. |

Step 7:
Re-open foobar2000 and once again cancel the "Quick Appearance Setup" window. |

Step 8:
Open the foobar2000 "Preferences" window again. |

Step 9:
Navigate to Display>Default User Interface, and click the "Import Theme" button. |

Step 10:
Select the "ÜberStandard Theme.fth" from the foobar2000 folder, and click "Open". |

Step 11:
Make sure all boxes are checked, then click "OK". |
 |
Step 12:
Navigate to Display>File Types, and click the "Associate All" button, (or select which file types you want to associate with foobar) then click "Close".

Step 13:
Right-click on the Tab that says "Default" and click "Remove Playlist". (A new playlist will be created the first time you play a file.) |

Step 14:
This provides a sleak, low-profile, audio player that's both incredibly powerful and light on system resources. It has the additional benefit of ReplayGain information displayed right in the playlist view, as well as hotkey support for those with multimedia keyboards.
